QUESTION: Think about your neighborhood (1 mile radius)... does “the neighborhood church” still have a relevant role in the area? If so, what’s its place/what’s its contribution? If not, what could it’s contribution/resource be to your neighborhood that would be of value?

Why did Jesus start this thing called “the church”? Is the church actually doing what it’s supposed to? And how do we as individuals fit into it all? Those are some of the questions we’ll explore this Sunday, as we celebrate our church’s 28th Anniversary! Come and be inspired!

FRIENDS at the State Fair — Tonight. The FRIENDS Oasis invites everyone to join them at the State Fair, tonight (Wed 8/7). They are meeting at 6:45 pm in the Glendale mall parking lot to leave cars and take the shuttle to the fair. They will depart at 7 pm. Have you ever messed something up so bad that you feel like throwing your hands up and quitting? Do you ever get so down on yourself you wonder how God could use you for anything, let alone something really important? If so, Sunday’s sermon is for you. Come and be encouraged.

She prays by the bedside of the sick, visits the folks that need some extra care, listens to prayer requests, and helps sort through personal drama--and does this for MANY in our congregation day, night, and on weekends. She carries the weight of the congregation on her shoulders! This evening, let's bless her with words of affirmation and fuel up her love tank....

Last week we talked a bit about finding God’s will in our lives. This week we’ll take that conversation deeper, exploring a powerful spiritual principle embedded in an obscure Old Testament story.
